These products are components used in low-voltage power distribution systems for overload, short-circuit, and local overvoltage protection, making them ideal for use in residential, photovoltaic, building power distribution, and small commercial projects.

PUGAO (Plannter Electric) is a 2 pole AC circuit breaker from China. For this product, we use high-quality flame-retardant materials and high-temperature resistant copper. It is recommended that the main switch be equipped with a residual current device (RCD). For humid or water-using environments, we recommend using a separate sub-switch with RCD protection.


Why Is Bipolar Protection Necessary?

PUGAO's 2-Pole AC Circuit Breaker provides effective bipolar protection. Why is its protective function so important for electrical systems? The core reason lies in its complete isolation safety and prevention of the risk of miswiring.

Compared to a 1P circuit breaker that only disconnects the live wire while the neutral wire remains connected, a 2P circuit breaker completely physically isolates the live and neutral wires upon disconnection. During electrical maintenance or use in humid environments, complete isolation eliminates the risk of electric shock caused by a live neutral wire, making it the preferred choice.

In some power systems, where the live and neutral wires are accidentally reversed, a 1P circuit breaker may fail, meaning only the neutral wire is disconnected while the live wire remains energized. A 2P circuit breaker, however, will ensure that the dangerous power source is disconnected regardless of the connection method.

What is the difference between single-stage and double-stage circuit breakers?

1. Functions and application scenarios are not the same: single-stage circuit breakers can play a protective role in, for example, household power, commercial power, small factory power and other places. If the power is larger, you need to use a 2 Pole AC Circuit Breakers to ensure circuit safety, after all, multi-stage circuit breaker can be more than one circuit breaker connection, more complex circuit is more suitable.
